How to join Limestone ARES
Show up at a meeting:
Even Numbered Months: The Limestone ARES Club meets the third Monday of each month at 7PM at the Limestone Emergency Management Agency building on 1011 W. Market Street in Athens, Al.
Odd Numbered Months: The Limestone ARES Club meets the third Monday of each month at 6PM at Mac's restaurant in Athens, Al. for dinner, with the meeting following at 7PM
Talk-in will be on the 145.150 repeater.
Catch our weekly training net:
The Limestone ARES Club has a weekly net on 145.150 repeater. The net is held every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm local time. Everyone is invited to check in.
And if your not busy the last weekend in June....
The Club takes part in the annual ARRL Field Day activity the last full weekend in June.
Directions to EMA building...
From I-65 go west on 72.
You will pass Wal-mart, and after you pass under the train overpass start counting. First light is Jefferson St, second light is a shopping center,
and the third light is Hine St. TAKE A RIGHT ON HINE ST. You will pass a 4 way stop (Browns Ferry), a traffic light (Washington St.)
and a covered up crosswalk traffic light. At the next working light TAKE A RIGHT ON MARKET ST and turn in right immediately past the gas station. The EMA building will be
on your right and the entrance is on the lower level.
