LIMESTONE ARES WEEKLY NET PROTOCOL

1) Ask if the repeater is in use. If it is, ask the hams to please conclude their QSO as quickly as possible and stand by to join the net.

PREAMBLE

This is the Limestone ARES net. Please suspend all routine use of this repeater until further notice. This is a directed net. Please route all communications through the net control station.

This net is scheduled to meet every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM on N4SEV repeater on 144.550 input and 145.150 output, but may be activated at anytime during an emergency situation. The primary purpose of this net is to provide training in emergency net procedures for members of the Limestone ARES Club and any other licensed amateur radio operators in Limestone or surrounding counties. The secondary purpose of this net is to serve as a forum for the Limestone ARES Club members to discuss matters related to the club and to the local amateur community

CLOSING THE NET

This concludes this session of the Limestone ARES net. Regular sessions are held every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM on this repeater, but may be activated at any time during an emergency situation. The Limestone ARES Club meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Limestone EMA building on West Market Street across from the Athens Post Office. Talk-in will be on this repeater.
